Public Relations. From traditional media relations to social media management, inferno provides a full array of public relations services. By selecting and integrating these services strategically, aligning them with your brand, and proactively managing your account (to both find and create opportunities), we deliver the highest possible return on your investment.

Public relations is the original "viral" medium – which is to say, it has always been about putting the right content in the right place at the right time, in order to generate a buzz that is bigger than your budget.

PR, press management, and social media management are integral pieces of almost every inferno communications plan. As the agency of record for most of our clients, inferno has succeeded in maximizing the positive public awareness of client products, accomplishments, and activities, while minimizing exposure when sensitive issues arise. We maintain strong relationships with media contacts at the local, regional, and national levels, with attention to both mainstream outlets and specialized trade channels.

inferno will leverage this network and all appropriate social media platforms to position you as an expert and an opinion leader in the places where your elevated profile will have the greatest impact. We can also generate additional exposure for you by initiating and managing press-worthy activities and charitable events. In short, our award-winning staff has the intelligence, the imagination, and the media savvy necessary to turn a modest PR budget into an earned media windfall.

Our PR services include:

Audit

Prior to beginning work, inferno conducts an audit on all of your existing marketing materials to gain additional insight into how you are promoting your business to constituents, customers, and competitors, as well as how you are perceived by key industry publications and contacts. This also allows the agency to find your “voice” and ensure all future public relations efforts are consistent.

Planning

inferno works closely with you to enhance your current public relations plan or develop a new plan to ensure all appropriate media are being considered, resources are appropriately allocated, and tactics are scheduled accordingly.

Media List Development and Maintenance

inferno maintains relationships with a broad array of contacts within local, regional, national, and trade publications and develops a comprehensive, targeted list to suit all of your needs.

Due to the high rate of turnover in media, the inferno team provides ongoing support to ensure your contact list is current.

Materials Development

The agency works with you to develop or update internal and external communication pieces, which are used to educate and/or inform key media partners and potential or existing customers of your company and its services.

Materials Review

inferno can also provide a qualitative review of any public relations materials that you have developed. This service allows the agency to examine any internal or external documents to ensure consistency across different departments, as well as verify that your brand standards and voice are consistently maintained.

Media Relations

The PR team establishes and/or strengthens relationships with key editors, reporters, and bloggers at all publications included within the media list. inferno leverages these relationships on your behalf to personally pitch and distribute key press releases, content pitches, and additional materials, as needed.

In addition to media outreach, the team coordinates media interviews around your schedule, provides talking points, and is available for onsite interview support, as needed or requested.

Community Relations

inferno has extensive experience in identifying partnerships that are strategic and mutually beneficial for both the client and the nonprofit or community organization. The agency not only researches and recommends community partnerships for you, but also assists in the development and promotion of your relationship with the nonprofit or community organization.

Event Support

From press conferences to art openings, inferno helps you execute and promote events that are large, small, and everything in-between. Our team can assist you with concept development, planning, onsite support, materials development, press management, and promotion.

Social Media

The PR team provides assistance in identifying, setting up, and maintaining your social media presence, whether it’s through Facebook, Twitter, a blog, or another appropriate social media outlet.

inferno also provides content development services, editorial planning, conversation management, and reporting.

Trade Show Support

Whether you’re launching a new product or a new business venture, inferno provides trade show support, including planning, onsite assistance, and media coordination.

Media Monitoring and Reporting

inferno subscribes to key publications in order to monitor and capture all editorial coverage related to your business, industry, and competitors. The PR team also compiles monthly reports outlining print, broadcast, and online coverage.

New Ballet Ensemble

When New Ballet Ensemble learned in 2010 that they were selected by NBC’s “Today” as a recipient of its ninth-annual “Lend a Hand Today” donation series, the nonprofit organization turned to inferno to assist with preparing for and promoting the event.

While New Ballet’s key stakeholders and employees were aware of the “Today” selection, no one else was allowed to know the details of the confidential event until it was revealed on-air by Al Roker.

Following several weeks of preparation, inferno’s PR team was able to quickly assemble media materials as the donations from companies were revealed live on-air during the morning of June 24. After ensuring that media and key community partners were made aware of the generosity, inferno provided ongoing PR consulting support to New Ballet to help maximize the “Today” opportunity.

Peria

In 2006, Peria Gober approached inferno for marketing and public relations support prior to the opening of her self-titled shoe boutique, Peria. She had a signature logo, but needed the agency’s assistance in finding a voice that would suit the unique personality of her Midtown Memphis store.

The public relations team worked closely with Gober to create traditional launch materials, including a fact sheet and press release, as well as a uniquely branded media kit packaged in a shoebox. The kits were distributed to key lifestyle and fashion reporters and editors in the region.

Following the store’s launch, inferno coordinated media relations, provided event ideas and support, and helped Gober connect with the community by cultivating a partnership with Dress for Success Memphis and creating a blog to showcase the boutique’s shoes, handbags and accessories.
