The Senior Account Executive serves as the strategic lead and project manager, monitoring the efforts of the various departments of the agency to get the project done on time, on strategy and within budget for the client. He/she must be aware of the client objectives, deadlines and budgets and must be able to answer questions from the creative team and/or client. The Senior Account Executive is an elevated account role within the agency with focus shifting from tactical project management to strategic planning and oversight of tactical execution. Strong client relationship building and professional management of internal/external relationships is critical.

Account Management

  • Develop and cultivate relationships with key client contacts.
  • Deliver outstanding client service by serving as a liaison with other agency and client
  • Be visible and available to the client.
  • Meet with the client on an as-needed basis to effectively manage projects.
  • Actively seek additional projects/new business from client contacts.
  • Aid Account Supervisor in the preparation of quarterly business projections.
  • Promote overall agency image within the business community.
  • Serve as a resource to an individual or group of employees (AC and AE levels),
    providing expertise and insight on internal processes and client/account activity.
  • Work with Account Manager and Account Supervisor to identify areas of growth/decline
    within existing accounts.
  • Participate in new client solicitation as requested by Partners.
  • Promote positive work environment and champion inferno culture of accountability,
    collaboration, and community.


  • Be a leading contributor to the client’s marketing strategy – be an advocate for smart,
    strategic options, don’t simply take orders.
  • Work with the Account Supervisor to develop specific marketing communications
    strategies and tactics in the form of a written plan & to establish budget and scheduling
  • Work with clients to solicit and understand what is necessary and preferred for planning
  • Meet with Account Supervisor and Media Planner to provide information re: media needs
    for the client.
  • Coordinate creative planning sessions for each client when necessary.
  • Coordinate research of any and all aspects of a client’s business as required in strategic
  • Monitor and track effectiveness of campaigns and work with Account Supervisor to
    provide analysis.
  • Develop measurement and reporting strategies for client engagements and campaigns.
  • Identify appropriate areas of learning in project work and delegate project responsibilities
    to AE/AC staff for growth/maximum efficiency.


  • Develop excellent, positive relationships with internal departments to ensure client
    delivery within time frames and budget.
  • Communicate – Ensure project information is communicated to appropriate
    departments/team members.

    • Provide complete and accurate information as to the objectives, audience, and
      competitive situation, etc. involved in the project.
    • Gather and organize information provided by client into usable format for creative
    • Provide traffic with complete and current deadlines and work together to
      determine production schedules
    • Clearly communicate budgets for all projects.
  • Utilize creative judgment to determine when the solution meets the objectives set forth
    during the creative kick-off meeting.
  • Check and ensure quality of all agency work before presenting it to and discussing it with
    the client.
  • Coordinate client approval for all projects.
  • Participate in the budgeting process and ensure that the client project is done within
    scope, within budget, and within deadlines.
  • Understand and follow agency processes.
  • Modeling processes and proper behaviors for AE/AC staff.


  • Provide detailed and accurate information on the job starter form.
  • Develop and maintain weekly status reports for clients.
  • Provide written confirmation from all meetings, conference calls, or phone conversations
    where decisions are made to the client in the form of written documents or emails.
  • Review and manage billing for each project with Account Supervisor.
  • Lead the fiscal management of your accounts, including budget, monitoring job
    estimates, and billing and work with AS to understand account profitability.
  • Ensure prompt collection of accounts receivables.
  • Communicate effectively, professionally and in a timely manner with management.
  • Manage various internal processes on behalf of account team.
  • Regularly review account forecast and communicate any changes to Account Supervisor.

inferno, a full-service advertising, public relations, design, and digital marketing firm has an immediate opening for a full-time copywriter.

We are looking to add both senior and junior level copywriting talent to our team. At inferno you will not be assigned to a single client, which means you will work on everything from online ads, emails, traditional advertising, online content, scripts for radio, television, and video – for clients that range from international corporations to local boutiques, to some of the best charitable organizations in Memphis.

  • Write all forms of copy – creative, technical, long, short, online content, scripts for radio, TV, and video.
  • Master and maintain established client voices and brand guidelines.
  • Develop project planning and execution habits to ensure efficient, accurate copy solutions
  • Handle a large number of jobs simultaneously, maintaining strategic and creative quality.
  • Work effectively in a high-performance team made up of diverse disciplines.
  • Be self-motivated to get projects completed.
